Alternate text
The alt text describes what can be seen in the image, regardless of the context in which the image may be used. Be accurate. Focus on describing the image. Be concise. Long alt texts are annoying for those who use screen readers. Use as few words as possible. Guideline is a maximum of 100 characters. Avoid keyword stuffing. This is not the place to put as many keywords as possible. Avoid saying it's an image. There is no need to include “Picture of…” or “Photo of…” in descriptions. Both Google and screen readers can determine that for themselves.
